Also, the girls second poll of the year is now open. The poll will close on Sept. 28. We must have at least 10 schools vote in each poll for our association to be able to publish it. I hope your season is going well. |

I would like to welcome you to a new school year and the opening of our girl’s season. The SCTCA is here to help you promote high school tennis in South Carolina. There are two important things that I need our coaches to do. 1. The list of coaches has been deleted except for a few that registered in the last 10 days. I need you check the list and if you do not see your name you will need to re-register. 2. If you are a girls coach, the first of four polls for the year is ready for you to vote for your top ten in your classification. To provide our coaches with more information I need you to email your team schedule and a team profile sheet to the site's webmaster. The profile sheet should include the following: - 2007 Overall and Region Record
- # Starters lost
- # Starters returning
- 2007 Playoff finish

This is a reminder of our annual coaches clinic meeting and rules clinic with the high school league on Monday, July 28. Our annual meeting begins at 10 AM followed by the HSL rules clinic. Please be prompt to our meeting as we have many important topics to discuss. Before you attend the meeting please take a moment to go and fill out a SHORT survey for you on our SCTCA website, http://sctenniscoaches2.com/ . Please, please, please make plans to come back after lunch to hear Converse College coach Steve Cook speak, who will be followed by our guest speaker on tennis sport psychology, Dr. Carey Washington. You will not want to miss this exciting opportunity to pick up some team coaching ideas that you can use this coming season. As an incentive to attend, there will be a drawing for a case of tennis balls. As tennis coaches I know you all need those. Stay cool and see you on Monday, July 28. |
